ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the quest free?
Yes, so long as you’re at TwitchCon San Diego, access to the Quest is free. That being said, space is incredibly limited (Blame math not us).
First come first served so if you want to participate come right away!
Participants who complete the quest will get a collector’s booster pack (1 card per person), a shield to build / decorate, and can fight for a spot in The People’s Tournament which has a $1000 Grand Prize.
All of that is free.
Also, we are explicitly a third space so you can totally just bring your lunch or hang out with us :)
Why are you doing this?
October is Mental Health awareness month and our community needs spaces like this.
That’s what Cool Dad does on the internet - we’re just bringing it to the convention center balcony.
Our goal is to help folks make friends, use their body, and get outside. Simple.
There’s a magic system?
Yep! We’re throwing two dodgeball tournaments but with a twist -
firstly, everyone will have a cardboard shield -
second, there is a set of 22 magic playing cards which fundamentally change the rules of dodgeball.
It’s best two of three - so each team gets a shot to play a card first.
One card per team, per person, per round.
The cards are announced, the rules are changed for that round, and the fight commences.
Round are two minutes long.
Do people get hurt?
Totally, though 90% of injuries are “non-contact” injuries. In order to get into the space, you must complete QUEST #1 which is the liability waiver :)
You are responsible for your own body and any physical play comes with inherent risks! It’ll be super fun tho.
Find that waiver HERE
WHO IS YOUR SPONSOR?
We don’t have one
HOW CAN I SUPPORT?
For the duration of the Quest, merch will be limited to the actual event. We’ve only printed 3000 decks for season one, so that’s our limit. If we sell out of them at the event, we will announce a drop date shortly after for season 1.5 <3
